Data Analytics focuses on analyzing the data to derive meaningful insights, and Data Science is more about predictive modelling and artificial intelligence. While the two are closely related, we use them for specific purposes and hence both play critical roles in their unique way.
Data Analytics involves analyzing the well-defined sets of data using several tools and frameworks to answer specific business needs, such as why a marketing campaign performed better in a specific location as compared to others, or why sales dropped in a particular month. On the other hand, Data Science involves using these well-defined sets of data using distinct sets of tools and frameworks to build new automation models and processes.
